Charles Hiscock, charged with breaking open the bed-room of Daniel Tilley, and stealing therefrom a gold ring, two sovereigns, and other monies, his property. Salisbury and Winchester Journal, 15 June 1829. --------------------------------------------------- Charles Hiscocks, for stealing money from Daniel Tilley at Bishops Cannings. Salisbury and Winchester Journal, 3 Aug 1829. ---------------------------------------------------- The following prisoners, who received sentence of death at our last assizes, were removed on Thursday from Fisherton gaol on board the Leviathan hulk at Portsmouth:- Isaac Earle and Robert Brinkworth, for stabbing John Foley, and Stephen Payne, for sheep-stealing, to be transported for life; William Pitt and James Fisher, for sheep-stealing, and Charles Hiscock, for a theft, 14 years each; and Simon Sparks, for sheep-stealing, 7 years.- Walter Salter, who was sentenced to 7 years transportation at Warminster sessions for stealing potatoes, was removed at the same time.
