Son of Septimus Sutton and Hannah Dexter. Permission to Marry application in 1834 denied, applied again in 1835 which was successful. Charles married Mary Ann Gilder, free immigrant, on the 22nd April 1836. Ticket of Leave received 4th October 1836. Land Grant in Scone, NSW, in 1846. Resumed his trade of Tailor by 1865. Died in Scone on 26th May 1889.
