LAUNCESTON. Shipping Intelligence. ARRIVALS. October 5.—Schooner Timbo, 123 tons, Jennings, master, from Port Louis, Mauritius, via Swan River and Portland Bay; Henty and Co., agents. Passengers—Captain French, (N. I.) E. Wilkinson, Mr. C. Randall, Thomas Gill, D. M'Cormack, 51st regiment, and seven prisoners of the crown. Launceston Examiner, 9 Oct 1844. --------------------------------------------------------------- The date given for the departure of Timbo from Mauritius is incorrect. It is not known exactly, but would have been after the trial date of the seven prisoners. One of the prisoners was tried on 2 July 1844, so departure would have been after that date. --------------------------------------------------------------- Tasmanian Records.
