Thomas Chillingworth was transported on the Surrey Or Surry, departing 13th Jul 1829 and arriving 14th Dec 1829 with 200 passengers.

Built at Harwich in 1811 a square-rigged transport ship of 443 tons and copper lined she had two decks with a height between decks of 5 ft. 8 ins. In 1818, she had a major refit increasing the decks (and convict carrying capacity) to three. She was owned by the London firm of F. & C.F. Mangles.

Thomas Chillingworth was 36 years old on arrival in VDL. - Transported for endorsing a bill of exchange. Hunk Report: Orderly Surgeon's Report: Well behaved. Has been useful in teaching the Boys. Thomas was married, wife at Lambeth, had long hands, dark brown hair and eyes, 5'7 1/4" tall, pale complexion and came from Featherston near Pontefract. 1832 Muster: Public Works. 4/12/1832: Colonial Conviction at Hobarton for Forgery, altering a £1 bank note - Life. 1833 Muster: In gaol 1835: Transported to Port Arthur. 24/5/1841: TOL 21/9/1847: CP No date of death found.
