Richard Chivers, per Caledonia 2, C.P., tried at Hobart, on the 27 Oct 1871, for begging, served 1 month, native place Somersetshire, 73 yrs, 5 feet 6 inches high, grey hair, walks lame, resides at Hobart. Tasmania Police Gazette, 1st Dec 1871, p193. Prisoner discharged from Gaol, week ending 20 & 24 April 1872. From Hobart Town, Richard Chivers, per Caledonia 2, C.P. sentenced on 24 Jan 1872 for begging, served to 3 months, native of Somersetshire, 74 yrs, 5 feet 6 inches, grey hair, walks lame.
