Christopher Goss was transported on the Surrey Or Surry, departing 9th Apr 1834 and arriving 17th Aug 1834 with 262 passengers.
Built at Harwich in 1811 a square-rigged transport ship of 443 tons and copper lined she had two decks with a height between decks of 5 ft. 8 ins. In 1818, she had a major refit increasing the decks (and convict carrying capacity) to three. She was owned by the London firm of F. & C.F. Mangles.

Convict Notes
went into care of T W Ryder Sydney according to H 10 records of Convict arrivals . He went to the same place as Thomas Greenaway my ancestor who was 25 years old.
Christopher was 21 years old on arrival in NSW. He was 5'6" tall, sallow and freckled complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, scar right eyebrow and a scar left side of chin. 5/11/1839: Christopher Goss and Wlilliam Wrench were indicted for stealing in a dwelling house, and putting Dennis Kellahar in bodily fear - both were found guilty and to be transported for 10 years. (Don't know where they sent him). 19/4/1854: Found drunk in Elizabeth Street, attacked the Constable - fined £3 or imprisoned for 3 weeks. 1848: TOL Mudgee 11/5/1849: COF. 1876: Died at Molong aged 68.
