Convict Notes
Christopher Kibble was 25 years old on arrival in VDL and was transported along with George Hemley (Moffatt 1842 VDL)for stealing 1 sheep, the property of Joseph and Thomas Scotchin of Langton Buzzard. Christopher was 5'5" tall, dark brown hair, grey eyes, fresh complexion, protestant, could read and write a little. Father: Christopher at Edgekirk Mother: Betsy Brothers: Thomas, John, Joseph Sisters: Mary, Betsy, Rebecca. Christopher was married in 1840 to Eliza Greeves and had 1 child, Mary, and they were left behind in England. 22/2/1848: TOL 4/12/1849: CP 12/10/1853: Married Margaret Eddington in Tasmania. 1854: Had moved to the Goulburn River area and had first child, Rebecca. 1857: Bought land at Blurgoi8gee Creek, Bowman's Forest, Victoria. Later bought land at Whorouly and had 4 more children. Margaret died of bronco-pneumonia and was buried 26/1/1879 aged 41 at Bowman's Forest Cemetery. 10/4/1899: Burial date of Christopher, aged 88, also buried at Bowman's Forest Cemetery.
