Court record 1847 has age as 19. So birth date 1928 closer match than 1924 https://www.ancestry.com.au/imageviewer/collections/1590/images/31251_A006082-00408?pId=515511

I believe this to be the baptism record https://www.ancestry.com.au/imageviewer/collections/61057/images/PAR238_ACC6078_6_012?pId=1513570 which would have 1828 as birth year rather than 1824.

Descendant of James Clarige (James Clarige -> Argentina Eliza Claridge -> Annie Maria Gartside -> Dorothy Ismay Buckley -> Shirley Ann Sellick -> Geoff Leach). Evidence increasingly pointing to James Claridge being son of William Claridge convict, transported on Somertshire 1841 https://convictrecords.com.au/convicts/claridge/william/55362
