The Elizabeth Clarke tried at Northampton Assizes on 21 July 1806 for shoplifting, and transported on "Sydney Cove" in 1807 died on the ship's passage to NSW. She never arrived in the colony. Her shoplifting crime was a capital offence; her sentence was commuted to transportation for Life.
