Convict Notes
At the Sussex Assizes, held at Horsham, on Monday the 24th of March, and three following days, before the Hon. Sir James Burrough, Knt. and Sergeant d'Oyley, George Collins and Dinah Stanford, for highway robbery; William Tapner, Thomas Norman, and Saul Boniface, for sheep stealing; Thomas Slater, Peter and Richard Collins, and Stephen Harding for burglary and Wm. Clark for horse stealing, severally received sentence of death, but were reprieved before the judge left the town. Hampshire Chronicle, 7 Apr 1828.
