Isaac was 20 years old when transported. He was a "Bookeeper/Warehouseman" and was transported for Stealing cloth from his master. 1841: Worked as an acting constable and Scourger in the Picton Police force, although still a convict. 8/8/1841: TOL Picton 23/9/1841: TOL cancelled for allowing 3 prisoners to escape from his custody. 18/6/1842 TOL 27/4/1882: Insolvency Court - Isaac Burgess Cockcroft of Cooma - Bootmaker. One of his occupations was also listed as a Tanner.




Burgess was his mother's maiden name (Eleanor Burgess married Joshua Cockcroft 1814 Lancashire)
