Principal Superintendent's Office, Sydney, 16th Sept. 1820. THE under-mentioned Prisoners having absented themselves from their respective Employments, and some of them at large with false Certificates, all Constables and others are hereby required to use their utmost Exertions in apprehending and lodging them in Custody. William Darley, James Richardson, and James Cody, Boys from Carters' Barracks; Sydney Gazette, 16 Sep 1820. --------------------------------------------------- Absconded. 2. Wm. Richardson, Neptune (3), 19, Newcastle upon-Tyne, 5 ft. 2, haz. eyes, br. hair, fair pale comp, Emu Plains. 2. James Cody, Hadlow (2), 19, Cork, 5 ft. 2, blue eyes, black hair, sallow comp, Emu Plains. Sydney Gazette, 27 Mar 1823. ---------------------------------- James Cody and William Richardson were indicted for burglariously breaking and entering the dwelling-house of Thomas Bates, on the Parramatta-road, on the 16th of March last, and stealing therefrom sundry articles of wearing apparel. Cody pleaded Guilty. Richardson was found Guilty. Remanded. Sydney Gazette, 1 May 1823. -------------------------------------------------- Wednesday. - The following prisoners, who had been convicted during the session, were now brought up for sentence :- ….
