From Co Kilkenny Ireland convicted of shooting at a person 5' 8 3/4" dark complexion brown hair and hazel eyes. Notes 33/585 41/10 New South Wales, Australia, Gaol Description and Entrance Books, 1818-1930 for John Cody 21/8/1821 Charged by William Howe and went to the Central Court 1832 in gaol and had lost the use of left arm 24/12/1840 Transported to Norfolk Island in 1841 Possibly for cattle stealing 1854 in Darlinghurst age 63 New South Wales, Australia, Colonial Secretary's Papers, 17/10/1822 Assigned to William Ogle of Castlereagh Street Sydney 7/12/1824 Re permission to marry at Parramatta Mary McGloughland per ship woodman. There is a Mcloughlin on the Woodman from Kilkenny Ireland 23/9/1824 Assigned to William Kennedy of Pitt Street Sydney
