n.b. There are two John Coffee's on this voyage of the 'Minera' 1817/18, distinguished by Identifier 1 and Identifier 2. They were cousins and charged with the same offence. John Coffee Jnr (Identifier 1) was convicted at Clare, Ireland July 1817 for sheep stealing. Life sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the 'Minerva' arriving 1818. Aged 26yrs; farm labourer. Native place: Co. Clare Assignments in Colony. Ticket of Leave granted. 17 August 1831 Conditional Pardon granted (no. 269). 6 July 1838 Free Pardon granted (no. 362)
