Isaac COHEN was convicted at Middlesex G.D. 18 Oct 1832 for receiving stolen property. His father, Abraham COHEN also co-charged and found guilty. 14yr transportation sentence. Sent to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the 'Lotus' arriving 16 May 1833. Single man. Aged 32 yrs; Jewish; 5'6"; labourer. Native Place - London Father: Abraham COHEN (http://www.convictrecords.com.au/convicts/cohen/abraham/118791) Assignments of work service in the Colony. 26 Apr 1837: Mr. Porter - neglect of duty. 6mths hard labour, in chains, and removed from this service. 11 Dec 1838: a Constable - attempt at getting up a case by imposing a fine. Discharged. Ticket of Leave granted. 4 Oct 1839: a Constable - gross misconduct. To be deprived of his Ticket of Leave and hard labour on the roads for 6 mths. Discharged from the Police Force. 1839: Town Surveyor's Gang, Hobart. 19 Nov 1841: Ticket of Leave restored. 14 June 1845: Conditional Pardon approved. 11 June 1847: Free Certificate
