James Colgan was transported on the "Hero 1835" which departed Ireland 15/3/1835 and arrived in Port Jackson 31/8/1835. James was 22 years old, single, his native place was King's County and he was transported for "'Burglary in a storehouse". 27/11/1839: TOL Maitland 17/2/1840: Application to marry Mary Supple (Pyramus 1836). Both were 28 years old. They did marry in 1840. 1 son, Thomas B1848 Maitland and died 1879 Sydney. 19/1/1844: COF No date of death found.
