The 1825 Journey. The ship Mariner, Captain Fotherley, arrived from Ireland with female prisoners, on Sunday evening. She left the Cove of Cork, the 12th of March, and brings 112 female prisoners, having lost only one on the passage. A few passengers also came per this opportunity. Trial was held in Newcastle on 14 July 1826, he was aged 22yrs. Sentenced: to life. Remanded to a hulk. Then tansported on the “Mariner”. Permission to marry granted: Thomas & Margaret Kenny NSW Marriage Registration No: 39/1844 V1844239 123 Church (code LK = Roman Catholic, East Maitland; Maitland; West Maitland). Daughter: Mary.C.
