Convict Notes
James made an application to bring out his family. His wife Ann and four children arrived in 1850. February 3 Barque "Anglia" 570 tons, Gardner, from London, sailed 3rd November, cargo sundries. STEERAGE PASSENGERS FOR HOBART TOWN— Colreavy Ann, and 4 children, Source: Hobarton Guardian, 6 Feb 1850.
ADM 101/56/31842-1843 Medical journal of the Navarino, convict ship from 16 August 1842 to 30 January 1843 by John J Lancaster, surgeon superintendent, during which time the said ship was employed in proceeding from England to New South Wales. ADM 101/56/3/11842-1843 Folio 1: Following is a list of persons vaccinated on board the Navarino. The surgeon notes that these persons were all vaccinated at two other periods, once before entering the Northern Tropic and again after leaving the Southern. All the other persons on board had either suffered from small pox or been successfully vaccinated. ... Bernard Colreavy, aged 6, convict's child; date of vaccination 5 October 1842; unsuccessful. Folio 2: James Coheavy, aged 48, prisoner; sick or hurt, ulcus; put on sick list 2 December 1842, discharged 24 December 1842 cured.
