Family connections for Bridget (Comerford) are: COMERFORD Bridget (Comer/ummerford) was born in 1807 & became a childnurse & kitchenmaid. She was tried for stealing money at Queens co. Ireland in March 1828, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 26 4 1829 after a voyage of 4months on EDWARD; she was assigned to W (Burrows) at Kent St. She may have had a first relationship with William Jamieson (Sherwin).>>> [Some details taken from this Website] William Jamieson (Sherwin) was born on 14 7 1804 & baptised on 13 7 1806 age2! at St Phillips CofE Sydney. He died on 18 3 1874 age69. Details of William Jamison (Sherwin)s family are given in entry for Daniel (Allen ADMIRAL GAMBIER 1811) on this Website. .. >>>Bridget (Comer/ummerford) married secondly Abraham (Dowgill/Dougall) at Darlington Hexham CofE Christ Church Newcastle & produced 2children. She was issued her Certificate of Freedom no.35/261. She produced 3known children in her lifetime, all boys. Abraham (Dowgill/Dougall) was born in 1796. He was tried at York Assizes Yorkshire, sentenced to 14years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 31 12 1820 after a voyage of 5months on HEBE.
