Return of Persons convicted, week ending 7 Oct 1871. Edward Conboy from Launceston, per Egyptian 2, F.S., for larceny, sentence-6 months, a labourer, native place Gibraltar, 83 yrs old, 5 feet 6 inches high, resides at Launceston. Tasmania Police Gazette, 13th Oct 1871, p165. Prisoner discharged from HM Gaol, week ending 9 & 13 Mar 1872. From Hobart Town, Edward Conboy, per Egyptian 2, F.S., tried at Launceston for larceny on the 6 Oct 1871, sentence-6 months, 83 yrs old, died 12 Mar 1872. Tasmania Police Gazette, 15th Mar 1872, p47. An inquest was held at Launceston on the 13th instant, upon the body of Edward Conboy, per Egyptian 2, F.S., aged 83 yrs. Verdict--Died from natural causes, disease of the heart.
