The Convict Indentures state that Maurice Condon was 45 years old. He could read and write; religion Catholic; status married with 7 children and a native of Tipperary. He is a ploughman and shepherd. He was convicted of sheep stealing on 9 April 1828 at Tipperary and sentenced to 7 years. He had no prior convictions. Physical attributes - Height 5 feet 4 1/2 inches; complexion Sallow; hair brown to grey and eyes blue. Transport number 33. Assigned to Mr S. Wiseman, Hawkesbury. Received certificate of freedom in 1835 (number 35/312).
