A native of Sligo, Michael Connamee was 28 when convicted at Dublin City in 1817 and sentenced to 14 years transportation. His trade was groom, labourer. In NSW 1828 census at Botany Bay, in the household of John Thorpe, fisherman. Mickl. Connamay (or Connaway?), aged 35, T.L., (Guildford, 1817, 14 yrs)employed as limeburner, catholic. Also in the hous are other fishermen and a housemaid.
