The convict indentures state that Bridget Conneely was 30 years old. She could neither read nor write; religion Roman Catholic; status single with one son and a native of County Galway. She was an house servant. Bridget was convicted of stealing clothes at Galway at the April Sessions 1837 and sentenced to 7 years transportation. She had one prior conviction and served 12 months. Physical attributes: Height 5 feet 3 1/2 inches; complexion brown much freckled and pock pitted; hair brown and eyes brown. Transport number 149. Prisoner number 148-38.
