John Connell was indicted for stealing a Cow, the property of Patrick Casey. The prosecutor lives at Knockduff near Mill-street, and about five days before Christmas, he lost a cow, which he found in the possession of the Prisoner in Cork Market, where he had sold her to a butcher. Guilty, to be transported for seven years. The butcher Hyde, who bought the cow, not appearing to give evidence, when called, his Lordship informed the Jury that he would estreat his recognizance. Cork Constitution, 28 Mar 1826.
