He continued on to Melbourne on the Marion arriving on the 25th January 1848. He went into asylum on shore and got employment on the 25th March with a T.V.Foote together with several other convicts (Angus Barr, Peter Chalmers? and John Carp) He had been a prisoner at Parkhurst Prison on the Isle of Wight.
