Public Notice. Colonial Secretary's Office, Sydney, August 20, 1831. THE undermentioned Persons have obtained Certificates of Freedom, during the last week, viz.— BATAVIA, Thomas Fletcher, Thomas Connerton, George Quinnell ; Sydney Herald, 29 Aug 1831.




Thomas Connerton, charged with having in his possession, five forged notes of the above description, ( forged counterfeit bank note of the Governor and Company of the Bank of England ), knowing them to be forged. – Guilty, sentenced to be transported fourteen years. Staffordshire Advertiser, 2 Aug 1817.
