Bridget Connor was convicted at Kildare on 21/6/1850 for receiving stolen goods - table cloths. 10yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land on the 'Blackfriar', arriving 1851. Aged 50yrs; Roman Catholic; 4' 10 1/2"; dark complexion; brown hair; blue eyes; married, child on board. Ship Surgeon's Report: troublesome Native place - Co. Kildare Assignments of service in Colony, House of Correction, Hobart, Clarence Plains & Huon River. Child: Margaret - admitted to St. Johns Orphan School, New Town 3/6/1851, aged 9yrs.
