This John Connor is not to be confused with a fellow prisoner on the “Mary” of the same name and occupation, who was also tried in Summer 1818 at Cork City, but whose crime was “killing 3 sheep” for which he received a sentence of 7 years (see New South Wales, Australia Convict Ship Muster Rolls and Related Records, 1790-1849).
