Convict Notes


Born about 1813. Single at conviction for "burning a house to be transported", Surgeon's report "very good". Father: Thomas; Brothers: Thomas, Matthew, John, Daniel, Timothy; Sisters: Mary, Judith "left for America and England". ToL 24 Feb 1852 4 Oct 1853 Approval to marry James Whitehouse. Noted in Conduct Record that they married on 31 Oct 1853 - will need to confirm with records. Cert Free 7 July 1855. 12 Sept 1865 Hobart, charged with stealing 3 shillings and received four months hard labour.
