James CONNORS was convicted at Kildare on 20 March 1849 for stealing 3 cows. 10yr transportation sentence. Sent to Van Diemen's Land per the ship 'Lord Dalhousie' arriving 14 Aug 1852. Aged 22yrs; single man; farm labourer; can read & write; 5'4 1/4"; Roman Catholic. Native Place: Co. Cork Brothers: John & Daniel Sister - Bridget Probation period in Colony of 1 year. Assigned to work services and a Constable at the Prison Barracks. 10 Oct 1854: Ticket of Leave granted. 14 Aug 1855: Conditional Pardon approved.
