Mary Connors: Aged 30yrs; widow, 2 children on board; Roman Catholic; country servant; 5'; pale complexion; dk brown hair; Hazel eyes; native place of birth - Co. Limerick. Assignments of service in Colony. 03/06/1853: Delivered of a child at Female Factory, Hobart. Child: Ann Connors admitted to Queens Orphanage 20/06/1854, aged 1yr 1mth. died, of inflammation to brain 13/10/1854 30/08/1854: service as a nurse at Lunatic Asylm 03/04/1855: Ticket of Leave Application for permission to marry 1856 to John Burke (transported per 'Rodney'),approved, but no detail given if proceeded.




Mary Connors was convicted at Limerick on 10/04/1850 for receiving stolen property - a cloak. 7yr sentence. Gaol Report: no previous offences. Good Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the 'Blackfriar', arriving 29/05/1851. Ship Surgeon's Report: Good. Widow, 2 children - on aboard with her.
