William CONROY was convicted at Galway, Ireland on 26 June 1847 for sheep stealing. 7yr transportation sentence. Sent to Van Diemen’s Land (Tasmania) per the ship ‘Blenheim’ arriving 2 Feb 1849.

Aged 19yrs; labourer; 5’8 1/2”; Roman Catholic; can read & write.
Native Place: Galway, Ireland.
Brothers: John, Gregory,
Sister: Betty

Assigned to work services in VDL.
Ticket of Leave granted.
Certificate of Freedom issued 3 July 1854.
