The High Sheriff of Galway has received his Excellency the Lord Lieutenant’s order for the removal of Luke Dooly, Martin Burke, John Commons, John Kelly, Patrick Lanty, Laurence Conry, Martin Connolly, John Nicholas Coleman, Andrew Egan, Bernard Lyons Thomas Kelly, John Ryan and Pat. Ward, to be removed from the gaol on Wednesday to the hulk Surprise at Cove, for transportation. The latter three men were convicted at the Special Commission in June last, and the others at the last Assizes. Seven convicts from the town of Galway gaol accompany the county (convicts), a total of 21. The above arrived on Friday in Limerick, on three cars. Dublin Evening Post, 20 Sep 1831.
