Trial place, Cork City, date: 1826. Sentence, Transportation for life. Crime Description: Accosting Michael Sheehy. Imprisonment place: Hulk “Essex” Dublin. All three convicts were convicted of abducting Michael Sheehy and forcing him to take the oaths of whiteboyism.

I had him ? and put to bed and placed a in a warm blanket, a bottle hot water to his feet and another in flannel to the Recordia. Gave him a draft of ? Opium and peppermint water with a good stiff glass of grog furnished promptly by the Captain which in a quarter of an hour relieved him and he had profuse perspiration. Five grains of Coloniel were administrated with the ?. every 5 hours. He had two copious black ? stools and has also passed a quiet night. The febrile symptoms much abated with Lemonade, Barley water and Treat ad lib. This afternoon he sent me a request by the messenger that he found himself so well he would be glad if I would him his usual glass of warm rum and water, On visiting him at 8 pm the fever gone and much recovered, I gave him hot wine and ginger with a little water for this night 7th Found him nearly recovered: Ordered him Sago and wine with his accustomed warm rum and water at night 8th Quote well again - continued as usual Name: Nicholas Cook. Aged 80 This is a very old man and except Debility, has not serious complaints.
