**There was another Richard Cook who was on the 'Surrey' Richard Cook was 23 years old on arrival in VDL - he was transported for "Stealing Wheat". Previous convictions: once for money 3 Mos, once for running away from my master 2 Mos, once floggd at Hulk for attempting to escape. Richard was born in Cornwall, near Truro, he was 5'5" tall, dark brown hair, hazel eyes, dark complexion, single. 1833 Muster: Assigned to Mr. Atkinson 1835 Muster: Assigned to Mr James Salter. 2/1/1843: CP 1846: Free Certificate 1/4/1852: Steerage passenger, Launceston to Melbourne per 'Nautilus'.
