Family connections for Thomas (Cooper) are: COOPER Thomas (Cooper) was born about 1767 & became a blacksmith. He may have been tried firstly at Southampton Assizes, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 9 7 1791 after a voyage of 6months in Fleet of ACTIVE, ALBERMARLE, ATLANTIC, BARRINGTON, BRITANNIA. MARY ANN, MATILDA, SALAMANDER OR WILLIAM AND ANN. He then returned prior to sentence expiration to UK & was captured for trial at probably Old Bailey, sentenced to death reprieved to Life, held at London Gaol Delivery & arrived in NSW again as a convict on 27 10 1810 after a voyage of 14months on ANNE. He is recorded in 1814 working for Mr (Smallwood). In 1826 he had a farriers/blacksmith business in George St Sydney & married Mary (Gough-recorded age38-her fourth marriage) on 21 8 1826 at St Marys RC Sydney & is recorded with her in 1828 at George St Sydney. He is recorded in 1828 with his wife with Absolute Pardon as blacksmith & farrier at George St Sydney. He died in 1838 age71. She may have had a relationship/marriage with someone named (Sk/midmore). She was tried for stealing (accumulated with several previous petty thefts) at Dublin city Ireland in 1804, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict without her husband? but with a child on 15 2 1806 after a voyage of 6.5months on TELLICHERRY; she was Protestant. She produced a child on board or soon after arrival. She was recorded in 1806 with Ticket of Leave. She joined with several male partners, not all mentioned here. She had a second known relationship (2of4) with Robert (Murray) his first relationship). She had a third productive relationship that produced 1child. She was recorded in 1811 & 1814 living with H (Williams). She was issued a second certificate in 1823. She was recorded as Free by Servitude with Thomas (Cooper) in 1828 at George St Sydney. She died on 17 6 1842 age60 mother of 2known children.
