1835 - Trial; 16 March 1835. Transported for Burgulary [House breaking] Previous Convictions;- Vagrancy - 4 Months Vagrancy - 2 Months Vagrancy - 1 Month Misdemeanor - 10 days 1836 - Indent No; 1993. Height; 5 ft 6 3/4 in. Age; 20 years. Trade; Women's Shoemaker [Cut out - Not bind] Assigned; Captain Clark / Clyde 1836 - 12 July. Colonial Times. Tue 12 Jul 1836. Page 7 SUPREME COURT. WEDNESDAY, JULY 6. William Corker **, was arranged at the Bar, for shamefully ill-treating, and injuring a child four years old. His Honor said he had just examined the child, and that she did not understand the nature of an oath ; that according to the law, her evidence was not admissible, unless she did-he therefore remanded him till the next Session-telling him, that he would do so every Session, until the child could be taught the nature of an oath, for he had looked over the depositions, and his case was a very bad one. 1836 - 10 October. Colonial Sentence; Not Guilty. Remanded. Offence; Unlawfully and carnally knowing and abusing Mary Ann Lewis a child under 10 years of age and with cutting maiming Mary Ann Lewis with intent to do her harm 1836 - 29 October. Bent's News and Tasmanian Three-Penny Register (Hobart Town, Tas. : 1836 - 1837) Sat 29 Oct 1836. Page 3 Supreme Court—Criminal Side. MONDAY, OCTOBER 10. Before His Honor Chief Justice Pedder, and a Military Jury. William Cork was charged with assaulting Marianne Lewis, a child only five years old. The prisoner was acquitted on this information, but remanded till next session, to be tried on a charge of cutting and wounding. 1837 - 23 January. Colonial Sentence; Discharged from custody on the motion of Solicitor General 1837 - 1 March. Committed for trial / Port Arthur 1837 - 1 May 1837. Colonial Sentence; To be hanged
