Sydney Herald Monday 17 March 1834 states that Peter Corcoran, Governor Ready (2) received his Ticket of Leave in the County of Argyle in the town of Goulburn. Spellings of first names or surnames may vary depending on whether person could spell their own and/or their accent in pronouncing their name.

The Convict Indentures state that Peter Corkogan was 20 years old. He could neither read or write; religion Catholic, status single and a native of Kerry. His trade was as a farm labourer. He was convicted of sheep stealing at Kerry on 24 March 1828 and sentenced to 7 years. He had no prior convictions. Physical attributes - Height 5 feet 4 1/2 inches; complexion dark ruddy; hair brown and eyes hazel. Transport number 180. Assigned to Mr James Chisholm. Received his Certificate of Freedom in 1835 (number 35/411) and ticket of leave in 1834 (mumber (34/207).
