Sorry should have added my name to my last contribution on David Cormie sent 28th July 2017 at 14.13. Janet Matthews

Having done a little more research I have found a record on Ancestry.co that records David's dob as abt 1810. He arrived in Australia on the Mellish aged 18. As I also found a record on the Australian bmd on David's marriage to Sarah Watts he gives his birth place as Edinburgh. Having then looked on Scotlands People David Cormie was born 10th September 1810 in Edinburgh and his father was David Cormie and his mother Catherine Laing.Regretably this is not the David Cormie from my tree.

If this is the David Cormie born December 13th 1813 in Kings Kettle Fife Scotland then his parents are John Cormie born 1768 and Christina McEwan born 1779. Janet Matthews
