21/12/1812 Caledonian Mercury Midlothian, Scotland: HOUSE OF COMMONS This day, came on, before the High Court of Justiciary, the trial of Elizabeth Crosbie, accused, of house-breaking and theft. The libel was restricted to an arbitiary punishment, and the pannel pled guilty. National Records of Scotland Title Precognition against Elizabeth Crosbie for the crime of theft Dates 1812 Accused Elizabeth Crosbie, alias Corsbie, Address: Prisoner in Edinburgh. National Records of Scotland Trial papers relating to Elizabeth Corsbie for the crime of theft Dates 21 Dec 1812 Trial: Edinburgh 21 Dec 1812; Verdict: found guilty; Sentence; to be transported beyond the seas for 14 years.

Elizabeth Corsbie was granted her Ticket of Leave No 783; Certificate of Freedom granted 21 Dec 1826 Licence No 032/5877 (Convict Indents and Ship Musters 1813-1828); Cert of Freedom published on 4 January 1827 (Sydney Gazette) She was living in Castlereagh St Sydney in Nov 1828, aged 50, Protestant. Head of the household, shared with lodgers - Ann Jones 44, Freed by Servitude, and 3 female children (1828 Census - NB various spellings of her name within this document - Eliz/Eliza; Corsby/Crosby/Corsley)
