William COULSON was convicted at Ipswich, Suffolk, England on 15 July 1832 for stealing a gun. 7 yr transportation sentence. Sent to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the ship "Lord William Bentinck" arriving 29 Aug 1832. Single man; aged 17 yrs; worked in a biscuit bakery; 5'4 1/4" height; fair complexion; lt brown hair; Hazel eyes. Noted that he had been sick on the voyage and admitted to hospital. Colony of VDL: Assisgned to work Several records of misconduct and punishments. 1837: Ticket of Leave granted
