Per "Larkins", 1817 1820 May 4 Town constable at Windsor; listed as Joseph Gazette (Reel 6049; 4/1744 p.321) 1821 Jun 26, Jul 6 Re permission to marry at Windsor (Reel 6008; 4/3504 p.140) 1823 Jan Servant of John Norman and Town Constable of Windsor; attestation as to his character for a ticket of leave (Reel 6026; 4/1715 p.554) 4 May 1820. Josh. Gazette – listed as one of 15 Town Constables for Windsor. June 26, July 6, 1821. Permission to Marry at Windsor. Joseph Gazzard, prisoner per ship Larkins and Mary Courtney, prisoner per Lord Nelson. Approved. We certify that Josph Gazzette (Gazzard,) a convict for 7 years who came by the ship Larkins which arrived in the year 1817, has not been convicted of any Crime or Misdemeanour in the Districts but is to our belief an honest, sober and industrious character, having served faithfully the late John Norman, and his widow and as a Town Constable of Windsor from the time of his arrival ;to January 1823. Mary was convicted in 1828 to receiving good for which she did on Morton Bay Island. she was sent in 1838 to parramatta female factory. I have not been able to tracy her after 1839. she was ill when trasported from the island.
