Thomas COWLEY was convicted at Derby, England on 23 April 1829 for stealing a coat. Gaol Report: "orderly, bad character". Hulk Report: xxx. Stated this offence - " stealing a coat". Married, wife Ann (a straw maker (?) at Barton in Beans, Leicester, and one child. (ref: Convict Conduct record) Assignments of work in the Colony of Van Diemen's Land.
