John Coyle was transported with his brother Michael, who died on board. John and Michael were ‘Whiteboys’ and had both been convicted of ‘shooting at the person/Burglary' in the last Spring assizes and had been farmers beforehand. 10/10/1836: Aged 25, John was put on the sick list with scorbutus. Discharged 27/11/1836. 1845: TOL Goulburn 9/2/1850: CP 5/8/1868: John Coyle, about 60 had his leg amputated after an accident, he was living at Lake George – Goulburn Hospital.
