Per "Sydney Cove", 1807 1810 Jan 9 Granted certificate of freedom (Reel 6038; SZ758 p.57) 1810 Jun 23 Received certificate of freedom (Reel 6038; SZ758 p.65) -------------------------------------------------- Note: Although listed in the Index as James Craig, the documents clearly show the name JANE Craig. (Sydney Cove transported women prisoners) 1828 Census Index. Robert Gardner, age 53, F.S. Fortune 1, 7 years, protestant, Landholder, Botany district. Holds 130 acres of land, 80 of which are cleared and 20 cultivated. Has 1 horse and 46 cattle. Jane Gardner, or Cragg, age 55, F.S. per Sydney Cove, 5 years sentence, protestant.

PUBLIC NOTICE. SECRETARY'S OFFICE, 23d June, 1810. IN addition to the List published in this Paper, on the 9th and 16th Instant. the following Persons have since obtained Certificates from His Excellency the GOVERNOR, of their being restored to all the Rights of Free Subjects in consequence of their Term of Transportation being expired; they are therefore henceforth to be respected accordingly.
