______________ Daughter ANN Cregan - Ann might not have married. On an 1869 list of donees to the "Fund for the Liberted Irish State Prisoners" collected n Campbelltown, (Freeman's Journal, 4 Dec 1869, p.2) is included "Miss Anne Cregan"

Freemans Journal, July 30th 1793, page 2 TRIM ASSIZES “The abovementioned assizes ended on Saturday last, the 27th instant - at which the following persons were tried before that upright Judge, Lord Carleton: Nicholas Cregan and James McNally, found guilty of Cow-stealing; but being recommended by the Grand Jury, were sentenced to transportation.” Group from county Meath not included in convict list Indent Original Remarks: "Has declared and adduced proof that he came out in Marquis Cornwallis and was convicted as recorded so has been granted Ticket of Leave while enquiries made" Sentence "ditto" of above so could be "7 yrs" 1800: Nicholas Creagan; Occupation/Residence , Discharged to Parramatta, Recently employed by Mr Balmain 1801 Muster: ”Michael Cregan” Arrived per Marquis Cornwallis, Status: Expired; Occupation/Residence &c, Sydney 1811: says convicted Meath, 7 years, per ‘Marquis Cornwallis” Convict Land Grant at Airds 1813, Jul 24 Letter (Col Sec’s In letters) ; Nicholas “Cregan” [Creagan,] On list of persons indebted for stock issued from the Government; NSW muster 1801, 1811 Herds between 1 Apr 1810 and 24 Jul 1813; WIFE (Unknown if marriage or de facto) Lived with Mary David per “Minerva” 1800 aged 22 on arrival Mary Davis 7 years, Dublin City trial. 1814 - DEATH of NICHOLAS CREGAN Sydney Gazette 4 October 1817 - refers to “Cregan’s Farm” at Airds, being a property bounding another that was up for auction by the Provost Marshal. NICHOLAS "Creaghan" died 11/5/1856 at Tumut, murdere by being stabbed.
