Denis, alias Timothy Cremin, was indicted for stealing lead, the property of Mr. Haul Lindsey. the morning of the June, Mr. Lindsay was alarmed by a noise the roof of part his residence at Blackrock, and going out saw a man on the roof in the act of stripping the lead. He called out him, but not receiving answer, fired gun with which he had armed himself, and shot him in the thigh. could not identify the man, but in short time after, the prisoner surrendered himself to Mr. Robert Evory, and acknowledged being the person. was by profession a School Master. Guilty.—To be transported for Seven years. Southern Reporter and Cork Commercial, 23 Aug 1827.
