Convict Notes

State Library of Queensland on 12th July 2012

Randle Crewe was actually baptised Randulph, as was his father and grandfather, the Reverend Randulph Crewe. They had previously been quite a well to do family, seems they had fallen on hard times along the way. Randulph was 19 when indicted and 20 on arrival. He could read and write imperfectly and was single. 1844: TOL Camden. 10/4/1848: COF. 1845: married Agnes Bonner, 17 born Perthshire and arrived per Plantar at the Church of England, Cobbity, Narellan. They had 1 child and Agnes must have died although can find no record. 1856: married Catherine Frederica/Fredericka Muller at Yass. They had 4 children. 1856: He was a Constable in Yass. 1865: He was a miner at Cadia Copper Mines. Catherine Frederica died in 1911 at Lithgow aged 84 years. Randulph died in 1887 at Lithgow aged 69 ish.
