Hampshire Chronicle Hampshire, England 24 Jul 1820 George Crocker aud Charles Crocker, for stealing 75lbs. of lead, from some buildings belonging to the Ordnance Department, at Portsmouth, the property of his Majesty__Seven years transportation. George was also on board the Juliana. Charles was listed as 17 years old on arrival. Born: Portsmouth. Occupation: Waterman and Labourer. Charles was 5'3½" tall, blue eyes, brown hair, a country girl on left arm. 23/11/1825: Public Works: Absconded. Removed to Maria Island for 2 years from the date of his arrival. 6/4/1826: Public Works: Absconding from the Maria Island Gang - 100 lashes. 24/4/1829: Free Certificate No Marriage found. Colonial Tasmanian Family Links state a Marriage/Relationship in 1848 with Mary Munro. Children: 8/10/1843: Charles Crocker born Launceston - father Charles a Joiner, mother Mary. 1845: Lavina 5/8/1848: John Crocker born Launceston - mother Mary Munro. 1851: James 1853: Christina 1855: Maria 1857: Male 1859: Hector Clio 3/7/1860: Charles Crocker, of Launceston, carpenter and joiner - declared Insolvent.
