The Providence disembarked 53 women convicts in VDL before arriving in Sydney with another 55 women convicts. 20/7/1820 Worcester Journal Worcestershire, England: WORCESTER ASSIZES Ann Croft and Maria Andrews, for privately stealing goods out of the shop of Mr. Humphries Linen Draper, of this city. 8/8/1820 Manchester Mercury Greater Manchester, England: Assize Intelligence Ann Croft and Maria Andrews, for privately stealing, were capitally convicted, and received sentence of death. 10/6/1822: Married James Black (Claudine 1821) Ann Croft, 27, he was 26. 24/6/1828: James was bound over to keep the peace for 12 months towards Ann his wife - charged with assault and beating her. 17/12/1828: Beating his wife Ann. 11/4/1833: Beating his wife Ann. 29/4/1830: CP 22/4/1854: Possible death for Ann Black -Widow - aged 57, died of consumption - Hobart.
